The room was clean and tidy, an unexpected relief after a long trek. The ambiance retained a quaint charm, reminiscent of simpler times.
This place sits right by a busy road, making it quite noisy and not exactly easy to cross safely. The shower was more trouble than it was worth, struggling to maintain a consistent temperature. I even experienced dangerously scalding water. On top of that, the towel rail fell off the wall, and the toilet had flushing issues. Breakfast arrangements felt awkward as we were pushed to adjust timings, and when we sought an alternative for the non-functioning shower, being told to use someone else's was less than ideal.

charming, charming, charming
I had a delightful stay in a spacious Deluxe Double Room that was immaculately clean. The breakfast was truly a highlight, featuring locally sourced ingredients that set me up for an amazing day. Plus, the location allowed for a lovely stroll to the picturesque village, which was just a short walk away.

Our stay was sweet as, but the shower pressure was a bit dodgy and could’ve been warmer. Breakfast was choice, heaps of options!

The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the picturesque village and close to attractions like Chilham Castle and St Mary's Church. The room was clean and comfortable, which made for a pleasant night after exploring the North Downs Way. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, served by a considerate host, who made sure I had what I needed to start my day right. it would have been nice if some of the amenities like the tea/coffee facility had been replenished, and the water temperature in the shower could have been warmer.

The breakfast was a sensational spread of locally sourced goodness that packed a flavor punch! Plus, I was charmed by the staff—especially the owner, who was kind to my baby, making us feel right at home.
The shower really needs some TLC, though. it kept falling down and the water pressure was pretty lackluster. the busy road next to the inn makes crossing a bit dodgy.

The room was clean and tidy, which was a pleasant surprise after a long walk. The overall ambiance of the place had a quaint charm that felt like a throwback to simpler times.
Unfortunately, the noise from the busy road made it quite difficult to relax. The shower situation was less than favorable. it struggled to maintain a consistent temperature, and on one occasion, I ended up with lukewarm water. The absence of hand soap and a lack of breakfast options, like cereals or fruit juice, left something to be desired. The bar area had a stale cigarette smoke smell, and I felt like I was negotiating an obstacle course just to get to my room in the dark. All in all, while there were some decent aspects, the experience fell short due to these inconveniences.
